Electric Vehicle Restraint

The loading dock is one of the most hazardous areas in any facility. Catastrophic accidents caused by premature truck departure or trailer creep happen in an instant, endangering lives and cargo. The YUOU® vehicle restraint (truck restraint) system is engineered to eliminate these deadly risks. By physically locking the docked trailer to the facility wall, our restraints ensure no vehicle can leave until loading is 100% complete and authorized by your staff.

Built to withstand massive pull-out forces, the core of our system is a robust, rotating steel hook. Designed to accommodate the vast majority of trailers, this heavy-duty hook automatically rises to firmly engage the truck’s Rear Impact Guard (RIG / ICC Bar). Unlike rudimentary rubber wheel chocks that slip on icy or wet pavement, the YUOU® hook-style restraint creates an upward-biased mechanical lock that actively holds the trailer tight against the dock bumpers.

Uncompromising safety requires flawless communication. Every YUOU® automatic vehicle restraint is seamlessly integrated with a high-visibility, interior/exterior LED traffic light system. When the hook secures the trailer, the exterior light flashes red (warning the driver not to pull away), while the interior control panel displays green (signaling the forklift operator it is safe to enter).

Advantages

Engineered to Prevent Catastrophes. Built to Protect Your Most Valuable Asset: Your People.

Prevents Deadly "Early Departure" Accidents

The most catastrophic loading dock accident occurs when a truck driver mistakenly believes loading is finished and pulls away while a forklift is still entering the trailer. YUOU® hook-style restraints physically lock onto the truck's Rear Impact Guard (RIG / ICC Bar) with over 15,000 lbs of pull-out force. This impenetrable steel grip guarantees the trailer cannot move until your warehouse staff actively releases the lock from the inside control panel.

Stops Dangerous Trailer Creep (Dock Walk)

As heavy forklifts repeatedly drive in and out of a docked trailer, the immense forward momentum causes the truck to slowly inch away from the building—a phenomenon known as trailer creep. Over time, the gap becomes wide enough for the dock leveler lip to slip off, sending the forklift plummeting. Our upward-biased rotating hook maintains continuous, active tension on the RIG, holding the trailer firmly against the dock bumpers and entirely eliminating dangerous creep.

Clear LED Communication System

Noisy loading environments and language barriers between drivers and dock workers are a recipe for disaster. Every YUOU® automatic restraint features an integrated, high-visibility red/green LED traffic light system. When the hook engages, the exterior light instantly turns red, signaling the driver to stop, while the interior light turns green, authorizing the forklift to enter. This intuitive visual communication removes all guesswork and ensures universal safety protocols.

Reliable Performance in Extreme Weather

Traditional rubber wheel chocks are notoriously ineffective on icy, snow-covered, or wet concrete. Worse, they require workers to physically step out into the dangerous driveway to place them. YUOU® vehicle restraints are mounted securely to the concrete dock face, operating high above the slush and snow. The fully enclosed electro-hydraulic (or mechanical) mechanisms perform flawlessly in the harshest winter conditions, keeping your workers safely inside the building.
